The map is not very large compared to other maps and movement is restricted by the terrain and buildings. There are a few bottlenecks where the Axis can be held, but it is a fairly even design with probably an advantage for the defending Allies.

Spawn Locations:

The Axis begin at a spawn point in the extreme south of the map

The Allied initial spawn can be capture by the Axis and ...

...will become the new Axis spawn

Once the Axis capture their second spawn point the Allies will spawn at the extreme north of the map

Objectives

Axis Objectives:

  1. Get tank across bridge

    Tank at starting position

Bridge must be built for tank to cross river

    Dynamite planted at tank barrier

  2. Get tank to document building

Tank ready to destroy Battalion HQ wall

    Tank destroys wall

  3. Steal documents

Objective on table in Battalion HQ

Alternate #2 to Objective is through roof of HQ once wall is destroyed by tank

Alternate #3 to Objective is through the locked door at back of the HQ

  4. Take documents to boat

Escape boat sits in river waiting for objective

Allied Objectives:

  1. Delay all Axis objectives

Constructibles

Allied Constructibles:

  1. Gate

The gate blocks one route for the Axis to get to spawn #2

  2. Command Post
There is only one command post on the map and it sits to the right of the arch facing Allied Spawn #1 (aka Axis Spawn #2). Once the Axis have taken the spawn, it would be very difficult for the Allies to keep the command post.
  3. MG Nests
There are two MGs for the Allies to build: One is located through a back door in Allied Spawn #1 and faces Axis Spawn #1 through a small window; the other is on the opposite side of the bridge facing the Axis approach route to the bridge. Neither is easily defended and can rebuilt many times during the game.
  4. Tank Barrier
The tank barrier is not built at the map start and must be built by the Allies. The tank barrier is in the open area just after the bridge. Defending this point is relatively easy for the Allies. It may have to be built several times if the Axis engineers are good. Once the tank crosses this point the barrier cannot be rebuilt.

The Axis tank cannot reach the Battalion HQ if the tank barrier is built adjacent to the bridge

Axis Constructibles

  1. Command Post
Once the Axis captures Axis Spawn #2, the command post is located on the right side above the arch facing the spawn.
  2. Bridge
The Allies can destroy the bridge with dynamite to prevent the tank from reaching the Battalion HQ. The bridge can be rebuilt many times during the map, but an aggressive Axis team can usually keep Allied engineers out of the area.
  3. Tank
The tank must be repaired before it will begin its path to the Battalion HQ building. The tank must be escorted or it will not move. Because the tank is such an easy, slow-moving target for airstrikes and mortars, it may be repaired many times during the map.

Vehicles

Tank

The Axis have a tank waiting to be repaired to help them break into the Allied Battalion HQ. The Axis must:

  1. Repair the Tank
  2. Escort the tank across the bridge (if built)
  3. Destroy the Tank Barrier (if built)
  4. Escort the tank to the Battalion HQ
  5. Keep the tank running until it blasts through the wall of the HQ.

The Escape Boat

The boat does not move and cannot be damaged. Getting the documents to the boat will win the game for the Axis.

Strategies

Allies: Delay Axis Start

One strategy for the Allies that has evolved is a very strong push forward to prevent the Axis from getting their 2nd spawn. There are only three routes that the Axis can take to capture the spawn:

  1. Through the gate
The Axis will Dyno the gate, but the construction materials are just inside the gate. Hold the Axis out and have an engineer or two ready to rebuild it.
  2. Through the locked door (by a covert or an unwary Ally!)
Allies leaving through this door is a bad plan; one covert on that uniform and the Axis will take this quick route to the flag and claim the spawn. There is an MG in the room, but it poses such a large target that it is very rarely worth the risk.
  3. Around the west side
There is only one strip of ground for the Axis to travel to the spawn. A few well placed defenders with a field op can hold them off here unless they storm the area.

If the Allies control those 3 bottlenecks, the Axis cannot win the map. Even if it takes the Axis 5 minutes to gain their forward spawn, that delay may be enough to ensure an Allied win.

Allies: Stop the Tank

The only route for the tank to reach the Battalion HQ building is over the bridge and through the tank barrier. If the Axis don't get a covert in disguise to the back door, then stopping the tank from reaching the HQ will ensure victory for the Allies.

Allies: Prevent the Advance

The Axis have 3 routes across the river:

  1. The Church (West) Side
At the river on the west edge of the map there is a hole in the side of the building that the Axis can through. Stopping this approach point is fairly easy because of its size.
  2. Over the Bridge
The bridge crossing is the widest way in for the Axis; running across the bridge, or entering the water to either side of the bridge will give access to the Allied side of the river. Well-placed airstrikes in this area and the street approaching the bridge can hold off the Axis advance.
  3. The East Side
This side has a small alley with a turn at the end. A flamer with a medic might be able to hold this one point alone depending on the size of the force advancing here.

Both: "Deploy Mortar"

This map seems to provide more protection for a mortar bombardment. The Allies do not have a lot of cover in their spawn area, or the area from which they will most likely be defending the objective. This coupled with the fact that the Axis have dozens of safe places where a mortar operator can hide, gives a good environment for mortar kills. The Allied spawn cannot be hit by mortar attack since it is in a building.

The Allies don't have as much protection for a mortar placement, and those places would be easy prey for a good Axis mortar. But, the tank is a very easy target for the Allied mortar and since there are only 3 river crossing points, a well-timed mortar attack could be very successful. The Axis spawn (Axis spawn #2) is an easy target for a mortar and the Axis players are susceptible to spawn killing by mortar.

Axis: Steal Some Pants

One way the game could end quickly for the Axis is if a covert in disguise gets to the objective before the Allies begin defending. Unlike Fuel Dump, a disguised covert could win this map alone. If the Allies are defending the spawn and have no one defending the objective, the Axis could win the map before the Allies even notice.
